Strengthen Your Relationship for a Healthy Family Foundation

Bringing a baby into your life is one of the most profound transitions you’ll ever experience, in addition to being one of the most challenging. The Bringing Baby Home Program is designed to help expecting and new parents navigate this new chapter with confidence, connection, and shared purpose.

This program was designed by the Gottman Institute based on years of rigorous research to help couples strengthen their relationship as they prepare to grow their family. In a warm, supportive setting, you’ll learn how to stay connected through the changes of early parenthood and work together as a strong parenting team—while also supporting your baby’s development from the very beginning.

What is the Bringing Baby Home Workshop?

Developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman, this research-based program helps couples:

  • Stay connected and manage stress during the adjustment to parenthood.
  • Communicate more effectively and strengthen emotional intimacy.
  • Navigate new roles and responsibilities as parents.
  • Reduce conflict and build a nurturing home for your growing family.

Why This Matters

Research shows that 67% of couples experience a significant drop in relationship satisfaction after having a baby. Research shows lasting detrimental impacts this can have on child development. But it doesn’t have to be that way. As humans, parents are never perfect and we shouldn’t strive to be perfect. However, we can consistently develop self-awareness and practice new skills and tools to operate the best way we know how with the resources available.

Strengthening your emotional intelligence and your relationship is one of the best ways to cultivate a healthy home environment for child development. Taking care of you is also taking care of your children.

Couples who participate in Bringing Baby Home report:

  • Greater relationship satisfaction
  • Babies cry less and smile more since parents are better able to co-parent
  • Babies sleep better
  • Reduced postpartum mood and anxiety disorders
  • Improved father involvement
  • Higher emotional development in their children
  • Couples feel better equipped to handle conflict and cultivate stronger partnerships
